FAQs
1. Who is this a good fit for?
I work best with professionals, creatives, and couples who have a lot going for them and still find themselves stuck in the same patterns.
Most of my clients are thoughtful, capable, and used to figuring things out on their own.
They’re not looking for a place to just talk. They want something that actually moves the needle.
This is a good fit if you’re open to a more active, focused approach and are willing to be challenged in a productive way.
2. I’ve tried therapy before. How is this different?
Some of the people I work with have been to therapy before. Others are coming in for the first time.
What they tend to have in common is that they don’t want a passive experience.
I’m not a passive therapist. I’ll help you identify what’s actually keeping patterns in place and work with you in a direct, practical way to shift them.
For some clients, that means moving beyond insight. For others, it means getting clarity for the first time in a way that actually leads to change.
3. Do you mostly listen, or will you actually help me change something?
Both, but not in the way people usually expect.
Being understood matters. At the same time, most of my clients aren’t looking for a place to just vent. They want clarity, movement, and something to be different.
I stay engaged and active in the process. That might look like challenging patterns, structuring conversations, or helping you see something in real time that’s been hard to access on your own.
4. How quickly will I see progress?
It depends on what you’re working on, but most clients start to feel a shift fairly early. Not because everything is fixed, but because things begin to make more sense and feel more actionable.
From there, the work becomes less about circling the same issues and more about making meaningful changes in how you relate, decide, and respond.
5. What approach do you use?
I take a direct, results-focused approach that integrates marriage and family therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), IFIO for couples, performance psychology, and experiential work.
The goal is to get underneath patterns, not just talk about them, and to help you make changes that actually hold.
6. How do I schedule a session?
You can reach out through my contact form or by email. I typically respond within the same business day when possible.
The first step is a brief, free consultation where we’ll talk about what you’re looking for and whether this feels like a good fit.
7. How much does therapy cost?
Individual sessions are $150 for 50 minutes.
Couples sessions are $175 for 60 minutes.
8. Do you accept insurance?
I’m in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for individual therapy and can bill those services directly.
For other plans, I can provide superbills if you’d like to pursue out-of-network reimbursement.
I do not bill insurance for couples therapy.
9. Do you accept referrals?
Yes. I regularly collaborate with therapists, coaches, and other professionals in Tennessee and Michigan to make sure clients are getting the right level of care.
10. How often do clients meet?
Most clients meet weekly or every other week, depending on their goals, schedule, and the type of work we’re doing.
11. Where are you located?
I’m based in Nashville, TN, with in-person sessions on Music Row. I also offer virtual therapy for clients in Tennessee and Michigan.
Many of the people I work with travel or have demanding schedules, so I structure the work to be flexible and consistent, even with a mobile lifestyle.
